Litke: Limbaugh Piling on McNabb
Edited on Wed Oct-01-03 09:33 AM by Richardo
It's one thing to make the kind of mistake he did two weeks ago, incorrectly saying the Rams have never been to a Super Bowl under coach Mike Martz. It's another, though, for Limbaugh to slam Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb as overrated without bothering to back up that opinion with any facts.

An ESPN spokesman said Tuesday that Limbaugh doesn't do interviews, so exactly how he arrived at that conclusion is open to conjecture. But apparently he watches a lot of TV.

HA! :D

I missed the original brouhaha about the buffoon's remarks about McNabb, but the combination of his barely concealed racism and his ignorance of facts is staggering. I mean - it's football. Anyone can look up the stats. But, as Litke says, the dude's just plain lazy.

I wish I could negotiate a $25 million contract to be a hate-filled ignoramus. (On edit: No I don't. But at least I'd be EARNING the $25 million, because it would be WORK for me to be either hate-filled or an ignoramus.)

1. Even JC Watts
said Limbaugh is insane on this (on CNN American Morning). Limbaugh also said--during week one of the season--that it was outrageous to have Detroit (?) fined for not interviewing an African American head coaching candidate, even though this is part of the rules all NFL teams have agreed to abide by. He's gone out of his way to race bait several time....and ESPN has thus far defended him.

2. i posted this last night
but no one responded to my post

we should have our own football pool on the day/hour the gasbag gets fired. I wish I knew how to set one up on the computer, but that is beyond my computer skills.

But I will say again to ESPN, Go ahead keep him, fire him, I don't care, because from now I will never pay for any espn product through cable, newsstand, or apparel, or whatever because just the simple fact you would hire such a rabid hatemonger just shows me exactly where you stand and what kind of bigots run the espn empire. seeeeeeya

3. My question is why did ESPN hire him at all?
Are they trying to best MS-RNC is outfoxing Fox? They must know what kind of audience Limpdick brings with him, the poorly educated, slow thinking white male. Now, that Flush has did what should have been expected, make raciest comments, can ESPN fired him? What will happen to their audience? It seems crazy to play with rattle snakes and then get pissed if one bits the player.
And, there are a lot of ex-NFL players now in the booth, telling us just what we saw. How are they going to react to Flush. These people are big and mean. A better bet might be as to when one of Flush's co-workers beats him silly.

6. It just reflects his fundamental immaturity,
"if I say it, it has to be right", kind of like my 6 year old. He's also used to getting strokes from the likeminded, subaverage IQ's that make up his audience and not having any negative consequences for the dysenteric stream of unbelievable whoppers that fly out of his mouth on a constant basis. I doubt that he'll be on ESPN for much longer, not just because of stuff like this but because he's both uninformed and unreformable, at least as far as listening to anyone but himself is concerned.

Besides which, the man is truly lazy (ref. "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Liar" by Al Franken). He probably hires someone to wipe his butt (watch out for my pilonoidal cyst!)
