Tucker Carlson's mom reviews O'Reilly's Book (this is good)

From today's Minneapolis Star Tribune. A review of O'Reilly's book "Who's Looking Out For You" by none other than Barbara Carlson, Tucker's mom. She used to be on the Mpls City Council and was a talk show host on KSTP-AM (1500) radio. I have a feeling she was too liberal for them. She also wrote a memoir "This Broad's Life."

The title in the print version of the paper was "Bill O'Reilly is living in spin".

Review: 'Who's Looking Out For You?' a study in intolerance ( the internet title)

O'Reilly is angry, and so am I. My anger stems from his tirades against everyone and his pompous assumption that anyone who disagrees with him is a far-left liberal.

I am a Republican -- at least an old-time Republican who espouses civil rights, choice for all women and the right to freedom and self-determination. O'Reilly's type of blather makes me want to become a Democrat.

He attacks everyone. In many cases, I agree with him. I hate pedophiles. But who doesn't? And I'm not terribly fond of Hillary Clinton, but she did raise a fabulous daughter. There must be something good about her. After all, the people of the state of New York elected her to the U.S. Senate.

What cynicism. But let's talk about who she's not looking out for: neoconservative males like O'Reilly. They have power.

O'Reilly encourages us to meet two very powerful forces: "independence and tolerance." Too bad he can't follow his own advice.

"choice for all women"?! That not every repub thinks bo'r is as great as he thinks of himself.

as conservatives and liberals in this country had for too long been turning a blind eye of indifference to this despicable crime. I, for one, am now firmly against the rape of children. Thanks to Bill O'Reilly.

I think I might like Tucker's mom. :-)

She is on CNNs "Capital Gang" and is always coming from the left. She is indicating what the Republican party USED TO stand for to make a point. Neat lady, very insightful.

have two grown children. One is a son named Tucker. This is per her biography. And I've seen it mentioned in local news sources (which, I'll admit may not accurate) that she's Tucker's mom.

Former Minnesota Governor Arne Carlson has a son named Tucker, but it's not the Tucker Carlson we all know and love. I remember reading where Tucker liked Al Gore because they both grew up in D.C. This article was not written by Tucker's mother. Nor is he related to Margaret Carlson the writer/TV pundit.
