Uranium statement was another White House lie: LTTE

This from the Statesman Journal out of Salem, Oregon:

A Nov. 21 letter from Wayne Brady states that the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence report supports Bush's statement that Iraq had been seeking uranium from Africa. This is incorrect. Factcheck.org states that the "Senate report makes clear that U.S. intelligence analysts have come to doubt whether Iraq was even trying to buy the stuff."

Since Iraq is sitting on yellowcake, why would they try to buy the stuff? Just mine what's underfoot......they have in the past!

It seems to me that all the hype succeeded because the general American population doesn't pay much attention to what other countries produce.
