"How To End Culture Wars--Cato Institute and Intelligent Design
The Cato statement, signed by Andrew Coulson, director of Cato’s Center for Educational Freedom, and Neal McCluskey, an education policy analyst at the think tank, predicts that such “culture wars” will rage on until parents are given the choice of sending their children to a school which reflects their own values."
I never thought Science was a "Value". Guess there are no Absolutes (think they ever heard about Absolute Zero?) What about taxes and death? I know they are doing their damnedest to wipe out taxes (for themselves, at least). Will death be far behind?
"Harsh Criticism on Aisle 12--The War on Walmart
“These unions are waging a war against Wal-Mart because its employees aren’t unionized,” Hassett writes in an article on the AEI website. “Rather than improve their own efficiency, the unions have decided to try to smear Wal-Mart and scare away its customers.”
(Did they ever consider the fact that the unions are trying to unionize, and the government is not enforcing the law that protects such efforts? Wanna talk hypocrisy? Take the beam out of your own eye, first.)
"Eavesdropping To Keep America Safe--FISA Scandal
The Center for Security Policy, in an unsigned article on its website, says that protecting America in the current war against Islamic extremism requires a delicate balance between providing for security and protecting civil liberties.
And, the Center declares, Bush appears to have struck a "sensible balance" in ordering the monitoring of phone calls by Americans who might be involved in terrorist activities.
(Who cares if it's legal or not? Unamerican? Pfft!)
If you are into black humor, this is the place.
