Bush's Iran plan a time bomb with explosive results (The Age / Australia)
By Kenneth Davidson
March 20, 2006

<snip> The only thing on the political horizon that might restore Republican fortunes is a new and credible national security threat in order to keep control of Congress in the November elections.

If the Republicans lost control of Congress, the way becomes open for hearings into the constitutionality of the Bush Administration's use of wiretaps on Americans without warrants as required by legislation.

The Republican majority in both the Senate and the Reps has blocked examination of the legality of this and other actions by the Bush Administration.

How far the Bush Administration is prepared to go in Iran in order to avoid losing control of Congress to a hostile Democrat majority, which might opt for impeachment, will have fundamental consequences for the global economy in 2006. <snip>

1. I do not think Bush understands the number of US dead that
Attacking Iran will cause. Iran has a well built up military and will fight back.

2. "Plan"? There's his first mistake.
There wasn't, isn't and won't be a "plan" for this war.

And the National Security Strategy? I was planning on writing a non-fiction version of it myself.

Still, it's a good, honest analysis of US policy and the disasters to come.

Honesty the American people will never see from their own media.
