(Supreme Court Justice) Roberts turns his back on roots (AJC)

(Supreme Court Justice) Roberts turns his back on roots (AJC)
Former GOP Congressman Bob Barr says Chief Justice Roberts dropped the ball when he wrote (in a dissenting opinion) that a wife who says her husband has a drug kit can give police authority to search the marital home, even if the husband, who is present, objects. Barr, by the way, hates drugs.

In this, his first written dissent, we have the key to the probably long future of Roberts' legal thinking. Unfortunately, it's not in the direction of individual liberty and limitation on the power of the government to invade one's privacy.
