How many buildings in Kaloogian's new pic have been attacked/bombed?
Edited on Thu Mar-30-06 01:30 PM by Brotherjohn
Is the Canal Hotel visible in the new Kaloogian pic? If so, that makes at least 2 previously bombed buildings visible in his new picture of a "safe Baghdad" (the nearby police station and U.N. Headquarters at the Canal Hotel).

I don't know Baghdad, but based on this (http://www.boomantribune.com/story/2006/3/29/23428/8027) and this (http://www.reliefweb.int/rw/RWB.NSF/db900LargeMaps/SKAR-64GDTM?OpenDocument) it seems like the Canal Hotel / UN HQ (site of 2 bombings) is in the direct line of sight... though I accept that it could be past the field of view. It's a 3-4 story white building that looks like this:

It gets kind of hazy in the distance, so it's hard to tell if it's in Kaloogian's new picture:

EDIT: I THINK I see it: The FAR upper right, about the last discernible bldg in the upper right corner (low building, same dark arched windows; NOT the 6-7 story building to the mid-upper right).

I wonder how many more bombings and attacks have occurred recently in this "calm" scene.

But I guess wondering that would mean I'm "opposed to the U.S. effort to fight terrorism", according to Kaloogian.

Or, maybe, I'm just interested in the TRUTH, and countering a politician trying to make a false claim with false evidence... one that has a direct bearing on all of our lives.

1. That's his picture of a calm Iraq? You can't see a damn thing.
Looks to me like after they got busted, they went over their footage and realized they didn't have any street level photos of a pieaceful Iraq.
