Screwed: The Undeclared War Against the Middle Class
---

Here is an excellent Thom Hartmann talk regarding his book: Screwed: The Undeclared War Against the Middle Class.
He also touches on Iraq a bit.
Awesome.

3. We lost our progressive radio here in San Diego
I only have terrestrial radio access at work during his show hours so I rarely hear him anymore.

I believe he endorses John as I recall.

4. What's WRONG with American people that they don't listen to people who are telling them the truth?
Instead, American men focus on steroid-injected sports players (what a F waste of time!!!) Women focus on Oprah's interviews with Denzel Washington and Tom Cruise (what a F waste of time!!!) Are people insane, or am I the insane one here?

9. go to any NFL.com forum and see the traffic
Superficiality and escapism are the norm in the USA.

The realities of our political, environmental, and world affairs are frightening for many.
I know more than one person who, "don't want to know", and they have told me as much.

I am proof you can do both.
Be informed and enjoy the superficial sometimes...GO CHARGERS!!!!

10. No-one's insane
The American people aren't stupid or insane but they've been trained to have a short attention span and lack intellectual curiosity.

7. I had to get XM to hear Air America.
I live in the fourth largest city in the country, and the only progressive radio we have is Pacifica, and they run the Beeb World Service News at 8 am and Democracy Now! at 9 am and 6 pm.

We're damn lucky we have that.

So I still had to get XM to get anything else that resembles progressive radio.

You'd think the fourth largest city in the United States would have a market for progressive radio. There are 4 million people in our metro area.

6. Yes, Yes, Yes!
I love Hartmann, I love Edwards and John is the only candidate that Thom has contributed to.
