OP-ED: Bush goes away in 365 days
(by Temple Stark, Political State Report, January 20, 2008)

I thought I could get away with not posting about this special landmark in American history. As the New England Patriots have but one game to go in their strive for perfection, George W. Bush has but one to year to continue to surpass all previous shriveling meaning of the word, failure.

Failure to protect the country from attack.

Failure to protect the Constitution from attack, and often delivering the pummeling blows.

Failure to protect the country or himself from the criminally-minded around him.

Failure to uphold any morals, whatsoever.

Failure to protect American interests at home or abroad.

Failure to be coherent or cogent in word, action or strategy. If he had any good ideas he forgot them in his rush to push extremely bad ideas.

Failure to rise to any occasion.

Failure to rise above party affiliation.

Failure to be dignified.

Failure to be respectful to anyone or anything.

Failure to be self-critical.

Failure to care.

In short, he failed to protect the American people from him.

America will breathe a huge sigh of collective relief on the blessed day that bush and his fellow criminals finally, finally leave for good. I predict massive partying and a huge uptick in the stock market on January 20, 2009, as America comes to realize how good it feels to stop hitting yourself in the head with a hammer. Optimism will be reborn, at least for a while.

I'm looking forward to it.

Not just US are to breath a huge sigh of collective relief when Mr Bush are out of office in 2009, January 20 If I don't get it totally wrong... The rest of the world Will do the same.. Well the part who have understand that mr Bush and his band, was lying all along, from 2000 to 2009 then... The base who are following mr Bush are smaller and smaller for everyday that is following what he have been doing to the world, and to US...

i Would for one celebrate the day, and maybe even go out to celebrate, something I seldom to:)

2. Don't throw things at me... Although this is great, we should rethink the 22nd amendment.

3. Meantime, There's A Certain Thing About War Costs ...
http://wiredispatch.com/news/?id=15731

~~ "Funding for U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan and other activities in the war on terrorism expanded significantly in 2007," the Congressional Budget Office said in a report released Wednesday ...

"It keeps going up, up and away,"

$11 BILLION A MONTH

Interest payments on the debt will total an estimated $2.7 trillion over the next decade ... ~~

And when the government gets around to paying the debt, it will be you the taxpayers who pay for it, while corporate fat cats profit and celebrate. Then, the Republicans will say it was the Democrats who raised taxes.

WHY DON'T THE DEMOCRATS USE THESE TRUTHS AS PART OF THEIR CAMPAIGN???

4. No he wont go away.
He leaves behind a huge national debt paid out to his neocon cronies (who have stolen so much of our nations wealth they simply buy their power), a collapsing economy, a bloated, corrupt, bureaucratic federal government, a simmering failure and predicament in Iraq and Afghanistan, and federal courts stacked all the way to the Supremes with right wing, politically biased and morally debased judges.
