1. Well, the Mattel Corporation certainly got stimulated,
despite selling deadly toys to our kids, by their TAX write offs.

"Tax Gains Offset Recalls at Mattel in 4Q
AP, EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) - Mattel Inc., maker of Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price toys, said Thursday its fourth-quarter profit rose 15 percent, as tax gains helped offset product recall-related charges, and the company approved an added $500 million stock buyback.

Net income grew to $328.5 million, or 89 cents per share, from $286.4 million, or 75 cents per share, a year ago. The latest period includes charges of about $42 million related to the company's recalls of lead-tainted toys, and tax benefits of $47.3 million."

So Mattel corporation sells toxic toys to young children and makes hundreds of millions in profit, while a returning vet sleeps under an overpass. So glad America could be so profitable for so few.
