Steve Ballmer Egged in Hungary! LOL!

Steve Ballmer finally gets to join his buddy Bill Gates in the "food target club" after a visit to the Hungarian University of Economy. A guy (grad student? just some dude?) stood up, yelled "Give back the money of the taxpayers" in an accent Ballmer probably couldn't understand, and started throwing eggs at him.

If you don't like Microsoft or Steve Ballmer then don't buy his products.

It looks like there were a lot of people in that room that came to hear what Ballmer had to say, and this self-involved turd had to ruin it by tossing eggs like a sissy-girl.

of their products. From day one, Microsoft has conducted itself in a shoddy manner, trying every trick in the book to squelch competition and make itself a monopoly. They are loathed in Europe, and around the world.

about their shady business practices, such as when Microsoft threatened not to offer OEM licensed versions of their operating system to PC manufacturers that would offered Red Hat and other Linux distros as an option when purchasing hardware? Granted, this is the wrong way to go about getting your opinion heard... But remember, no one got injured. The guy obviously did have support from the majority of the audience, judging by the applause and laughter, he even got a pat on the back on his way out. Fine, call the guy a "sissy-girl" for throwing eggs at a figurehead of a "sissy-company" that must BUY innovation rather than create it on its own, as a last ditch effort to be competitive in their shrinking marketplace. Microsoft is no angel in the world of business, and this guy was wrong for throwing eggs at him, he should have debated Ballmer and Microsoft's business tactics instead.

I think you and I are more in agreement than in disagreement, I appreciate your opinion.

People like Ballmer, an extremely wealthy and well known public figure, has been coached by his bodyguards to do exactly what he did when attacked which was to find cover and get under it. It was just eggs the guy was throwing at him but it could have been something else. It could easily been anthrax or even eggs filled with a deadly virus.

It's a strange world we live in today and the egg thrower is fortunate he didn't get shot by Ballmer's security detail.

But on personal side, being attacked is a very frightening experience for the victim, in this case Ballmer. Just because the weapon of the attack is is something silly doesn't mean it was any less of a harrowing experience.

It's amazing that even at this late date many Americans fail to realize what a terrible thing Microsoft is, and how unethical and slimy it is. And we have Ballmer to thank for most of it, IMHO. Maybe those eggs were delivered by Kharma..?

After I did a little research on Microsoft's despicable, unethical, monopolistic actions I got rid of every PC in my house; now I have only Macs and a tiny Linux machine. If enough people abandoned their PCs for Macs the quality of computing all over the world would be dramatically increased.

If you abandoned your PCs because you don't like the business ethics of Microsoft then why in the world would you move to Apple products?

I guess you don't know that they are an unethical and slimy company too.

But I digress, you've entirely missed my point about being attacked. It's not cool to terrorize someone, anyone really. In my opinion it's not cool to terrorize someone just because they aren't liked. It's nothing more than schoolyard bullies beating up a kid they don't like and you are standing around laughing....just because you don't like him.
