OK, many (probably even most) of us can now recognize that this primary process has become simply ridiculous. The latest word is over "formal talks" between the two camps. I am dubious of not only the reports of talks, but that anything will actually be resolved in time for our candidate to ramp up a to a optimally-competitive general campaign.

I'm done waiting for someone else to save our party. This is MY party too.

Huffington wrote an excellent piece today at HuffPo reflecting similar sentiments. At the end of her piece she lists out the remaining undeclared superdelegates. Guess what? My rep was on that list.

I just got off the phone with his local office. I expressed my wishes that he declare asap for the good of the party.

Will you do the same?

Stop Yelling at Hillary to Stand Down and Start Yelling at the Superdelegates to Stand Up

...

So let's see if we can put the focus on those with the power to bring to an end this political equivalent of a 50s horror movie (The Campaign That Just Won't Die!): the superdelegates.

There are currently 212 uncommitted superdelegates (not counting Michigan and Florida). What are they waiting for?

<snip>

And let's not just wait for the party leaders to put pressure on the superdelegates. Let's start putting pressure ourselves. Below you will find a list of all the uncommitted superdelegates. And this link will lead you to profiles of them. Please call or email the elected officials and track down the DNC members who live in your state and let them know that you want them to stand up and be counted. Now.

Hillary Clinton has more than earned the right to stay in the race until the bitter end. So it's up to the superdelegates to accelerate the bitter end.

1. My Congress Critter, Jim Marshall, is on that list...
and I've yelled at him so much I'm hoarse. He is a fucking coward. He won't endorse anyone in this race. I'll bet that he won't even cast a vote at the convention. The vast majority of his district voted for Obama in the primaries, but he needs the crossover right-wing bigot vote here in GA to have any hope for re-election. And, he'll need at least one more than he got last time around, because I've sworn that I will never vote for that Republican calling himself a Democrat.

He's a sorry sack of shit for a Congress Critter.

2. When I called my Rep I told the aide
that I don't care who he comes out to support, but that it is crucial to our party that he come out ASAP and help minimize the damage caused by this slow, painful death march of a primary.

Thanks for making the effort!
