Warning : Bush Hazardous to Women's Health
Edited on Wed Mar-10-04 09:55 AM by displacedvermoter
I'm passing along an opinion piece from our local (Times Herald Record) on Bush's war on women. I'm getting a bit more hopeful as more and more negative news and opinion is now being printed and aired. The author of this piece, Beth Quinn, has been a firm Bush attacker since even before the 2000 election. But even she seems to be getting more angry, and more strident. Perhaps she thinks she can get away with more now, or perhaps she's just getting more and more afraid of what happens should this evil man get four more years.

It's good to see that someone is speaking out against all of the damage the Bush regime has done to women's rights. It seems the media has been asleep since 2001, or maybe 9/11 took center stage while the Bush regime "quietly" did their damage.

It really is time to wake up.

2. Bushites and Bad Writing
Inadvertently, whoever wrote up the campaign spin revealed Bush'e true intent:

"Bush is scared of us. He knows how powerful we can be. After all, women outnumber men and a greater proportion of us turn out to vote.

That's why he trotted out his wife, Laura, last week to kick off a campaign to fight heart disease in women. The White House e-mailed 2 million women to let them know that the first lady was launching a "campaign to fight women and heart disease.
It was an unintended miswording on their part, I'm sure. No doubt they meant to say "a campaign to fight heart disease in women," but the slip contained more than an element of truth."
