Rush Limbaugh:The 20th Hijacker - Just One More Reason to Love Wanda Sykes

"Maybe Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker but he was so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight." - Wanda Sykes

Yup, that's what comedian Wanda Sykes called old fat boy Rush Limbaugh last Saturday night at the White House Press Correspondent Dinner. I'm not gonna lie, that was one of the funniest lines I've heard in a long time. I did a blog a while back on the 2oth hijacker, and that's also why I had to laugh at that line.

Sadly, it would appear that there is a segment of the population who thinks her routine was over the top. I suspect that they are all Republicans. I mean, had she not said anything about Rush Limbaugh the leader of the party, Dick Cheney, Sean Hannity or allude to failures of the previous administration, would they be upset?

Probably not, but hey, I understand why those people are a little bit shitty. Yeah, I get a little upset when someone talks shit about my favorite NBA team which happens to be the New York Knicks. But like me, they should be able to take what they dish out. After all, I can't stand the Dallas Cowboys and I spare no moment to give their fans hell when I encounter them. That said, and me being a fan of comedy, I enjoyed Wanda Sykes' entire routine. Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or an Independent, you couldn't have helped to laugh. Lets be real, it's not like we were watching a re-screening of Pootie Tang....

Funny is funny for crying out loud, and its exactly the reason every time the 20th hijacker speaks I laugh. Of course I'm not laughing at what he says as being funny, but instead laughing at the fact that he's been able to hide his mental retardation from radio executives. An astonishing act which has led to him being on the air.

Ok yeah, so maybe I was out of line to say that. Yes, maybe what I said was insulting to the mentally challenged among us. For that I apologize. Yes I do, because putting them in the same class as Limbaugh is very disrespectful to the many mentally challenged who live among us. At the end of the day, why even get mad at Wanda Sykes?

I mean after all, isn't she an entertainer just like Limbaugh?

1. Looking for WMD's under tables and in closets by Dubya was far more offensive
than Wanda's comedic routine.

3. You right Teammate
What could be funnier then lying about WMD then joking about not finding them, then getting at least 4 thousand American kids killed because of your lies. Wow, those wacky conservatives and their wacky sense of humor.

And poor rush, the victim of truth; no wonder he fears the fairness doctrine.

11. Agreed- I actually called the WH the day after to ask if the pRez was under psychiatric care.
Given that the mothers, fathers, wives and other loved ones
who had lost loved ones might have seen his act that night.
I'm sure they found nothing remotely humorous in his socio-pathological
humor that night.

2. I think Keith and/or Rachel
are gonna have a review on the correspondent's dinner on their shows tonight. No doubt complete with "reaction" from the real patriots in America.

5. Bet you didn't think Rush was a raving lunatic when he started to sing
"Barack the Magic Negro" though, eh??? Nah, this was payback for a lot of disgusting spew that came forth from Rushbo. He deserves the recognition of being the fool that he is. As to the pox, be careful for what you wish for, but for the grace of God and all that, ya know? Stay classy.

9. limbaugh- borderline racist? ha. he also said 'obama's head needs to roll'
sept 10, 2008.

he is pure racist and regularly, but with subtlety, calls for violence against dems.

no one better personifies the the principles and morals of the bush republicans and no one, as point man for the talk radio monopoly that did the groundwork for everything they did, did more to get the GOP into the corner where it is now. unfortunately he/they took the country into the same dark hole with them.

limbaugh deserves to be exposed for the foolish lying destructive force he is but it is really the talk radio monopoly that is the problem.

7. I agree. It was a horrible thing to say.
I thought the 20th hijacker joke was OK though.

Stephen Colbert's set in 2005 was also pretty controversial (although MSM mostly ignored it).

8. You know what the difference is?

All that nasty snark from the Left never led to policies that killed people. They never led to policies that put our country so far into the red that it's still up in the air when we'll get back to normal. They never led to policies that shredded our Constitution (a document conservatives claim to revere more than liberals). They never led to policies that made the U.S. an international pariah (Bill Clinton can still fill any stadium around the world, W. will be lucky to not get arrested). Limbaugh and his ilk, however, have called for violent insurgency, have openly lied, have obfuscated, have acquiesced, and have maligned in the most horrible of ways imaginable in order to keep actual criminals in office. They are the lowest of the low and have blood on their hands. We now see the fruits of their labour. In my sincere opinion, kidney failure would be too good for Limbaugh. If you think the two are even remotely similar and you feel that makes liberals sound like raving lunatics, you just haven't really been paying attention the past 30 years.

12. 20th Hijacker? I thought Rush was the 2,000 lbs Hijacker?
Yeah, it's cheap, nasty and sadly predictable.

And so is my joke.
