I Like Empathetic Judges
Michael Steele just made the case that Barack Obama, in seeking a Justice for the Supreme Court who has the quality of empathy, wants someone like Perez Hilton. No, Perez Hilton is no role model, and Michael Steele is a bufoon. There are real reasons judges should have the quality of empathy, like yesterday in the courtroom.

1. Someone made the point that the reason we call them "judges" is because we EXPECT them to
have empathy. Otherwise we could save a lot of money and just have a computer decide the cases.

2. Exactly
I certainly did not want a computer deciding my adoption yesterday. It was far better with an empathetic judge.
