RW Radio host explains how there is no poverty in America
Right Wing Ignorance on the Radio (Sound File)

This is unbelievable. This clown explains how there is no poverty in America and how so called poverty families are getting 12k more than what they need from the government to not be in poverty. (If they make 20k per year)

My favorite part was that when he agreed with Dr. Phil's statement that, "You don't care about what is right but only care about being right", he replied "darn right". You just can't make this stuff up.

Compare his position with the following article. Liberal Brain versus Conservative Brain

1. what the hell is he talking about!! here is the question....
how many of his listeners who are at the bottom rung financially will believe it because he said it... even if THEY are in that non existent category. the problem is, people who listen to him, and i have relatives who are in this category of in the middle but one good injury could lose them everything... i think they think they are higher up than they are on the financial scale. as if THEY are being robbed by the poor. the fact is, the burden DOES fall on them, but it is because people like rush limbaugh can afford to pay someone to find loopholes and then there are those who send their money offshore and hide it so they can avoid paying it. like tom golisano who changed his residency to avoid $5 million in taxes to nys. My question is... how the hell much money does he make that he has $5 million in state taxes!!! but instead of getting mad at the greedy rich people who are shirking their own responsibility to this society... let's blame the poor people who don't have a damned thing and from that position it is virtually impossible to get out of... yes, that makes friggin sense.

2. I think you are right
They think they are higher up on the economic ladder than what they really are. That is one of the things that is so phenomenal about the Republican party and the current stage of propaganda. Normally if there is one thing in life one can depend on it is that people will do what is in their best, or at least their perceived best interest to do.

However, the Republicans have been able to convince a whole class of people that they are in fact a part of the aristocracy when they in fact just part of the wage earning class like everyone else. It is why propaganda, which in the 60' was an art but today it is a science, base on Freud no less, is such a dangerous tool for politicians to have at their disposal.

3. The guy who does "handy-man" work for me is now disabled and
is trying to get SS disability. When he applied for food stamps he told the person there that he was trying to get SS disability. They told him "good luck! It is really hard to get it. But I know lots of people who get it because they are depressed or are alcoholics". This is what pisses people off and makes them Republicans. When someone who really needs it cannot get it but someone who doesn't deserve it does get it. I can understand that. I have the same feelings about the credit card legislation. It is bull. These "poor" people charge stuff then expect the government to tell the credit card companies that they don't have to pay. It is ridiculous.
