It's not often that Larry King subjects his guests to a rigorous grilling. But during his interview with Dean last night, King pressed the ex-governor for his precise personal view on gay marriage with surprising persistence. Dean, who moments earlier had joked about his dangerously blunt tongue, was suddenly unable to deliver his famous brand of troublemaking straight talk:
KING: All right. On your own state level, if it were a referendum, would you vote for gay marriage?
DEAN: If what were--we don't have a referendum in my state, and we have civil unions, and we deliberately chose civil …

1. Big Issue
Yep, thats the thing to do, make this a big issue. Just what the repubs want to hammer the democrats with. So, keep it up and enjoy four more years of dim son. Anyone could see that King did not like Dean, so, of course he hammered him on this. Put this up their with gun control and abortion, as issues that will cost us the election. We need to get off this stuff! Did not mean to rant, but this stuff has got me concerned.

2. I agree...
And my hope is that we burn it out as an issue this August rather than be dealing with it next August. If it's a BIG issue a year from now, we lose the election.

3. Howard "tap dancing" Dean. He does this quite a lot.
But the media and other candidates will start calling him on it now.
