Portland ME Press Herald - President should ask Rumsfeld to step down

The whole thing just keeps getting more appalling.

The Washington Post has published more damning pictures of American soldiers humiliating and abusing naked Iraqis at Abu Ghraib prison - actions that have severely undermined America's credibility in Iraq and the rest of the world. The unstable, war-torn nation has now become an even more dangerous place for our soldiers, and the president must demonstrate - as well as express - his outrage to help repair the damage.

That means asking Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to resign.

Wow, this surprises me. Of course I think RUmmy should be in jail but I didn't expect this from our local paper.

1. It's owned by "Blethen", not one of the super huge conglomerates...

And Blethen is a VERY fair newspaper chain I think...they truly report both sides of the story, which is all I can ask in life (i.e. I don't need a liberal or conservative bent, just report the freaking news!)
