The Best Reason For McCain to Stay Republican...
was how he handled himself today. He was on the mark, his questions were probing, he didn't let rummie spin the situation at all (By the way Senator Kennedy was also great today). It is important for people to see and hear the criticisms of this incompetant administration coming from other republicans. It makes it harder for frisk (or frist) of tennessee to say its democrats doing it for political gain. i want to know why more democrats aren't that assertive.

Given his personal history, I'd imagine that he really, really, really doesn't like the policy of torturing prisoners.
