here we go with another poll, on how "bad" Obama's doing.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100414/ap_on_bi_ge/us_ap_poll_democratic_woes">Just 49 percent of people now approve of the job Obama's doing overall...

REally?? I compared Obama's job performance rating to other presidents ratings DURING A RECESSION - which oddly, none of the pollster have thought to do.

The only two I could find over the last few decades who's numbers weren't complicated by other events (e.g. wars) were Carter and Reagan. They had recessions during their administrations. If Obama's JAR reacted to an increase in the Unemployment Rate as much as the average of Carter's and Reagan's, Obama would be at 31% now Instead Obama's at (according to this one poll) 49%, or just 58% higher than they would be .. and that's during a DEPRESSION. I think the reason he's doing so well is most people don't blame him for the Deregulation Disaster. THey know this is a REPUBLICAN DYSTOPIA is the result of Republican policies of deregulation, increasing the tax burden on the middle class to lighten the taxes paid by the wealthy (top 10% in income enjoyed 50% of the Bush tax cuts) and wanton mismanagement of the public debt for a war based on lies that took us away from going after the terrorists who attacked us.
