1. Who talks to there Dad about P---y?
Sorry, but this is not a topic most Dad and most sons talk about. It's very strange, unless Shrub thought he was being funny.

2. It's very strange
It's strange if they do talk about sex that way, it's strange that he answered the question that way, and even if it was just a joke, it's strange that he would make that kind of joke.

The article asks a very funny and very valid question:

• When your wife and your mother are not talking politics, do they talk about “dick”? If Laura told a newspaper editor that she and Bar did indeed “talk dick,” how would you feel?

3. Oh My!
How dare you! President Bush is a good Christian (he was chosen by God for the presidency) and a good moral man!

4. Born Again Pussy?
Edited on Wed Aug-13-03 10:50 AM by devarsi
Since the comment came two years after Bush was "born again," I am confident that GW was talking about "Born Again Pussy," not just common, "Burnin' In Hell Pussy."

And, since both Bushes are such good Christian men, following the 10 Commandments, they would NEVER covet another man's wife, nor commit adultry, so they must be referring to Laura and Barbara.

I wonder if Rev. Graham ever joined these discussions?

BTW - sorry if this offends anyone, but it's a fair and balanced discussion of religion and politics, right?

5. Memory
If my memory serves me correctly, when Vernon Jordan said the same, exact thing, wasn't Clinton excoriated in the press?

Also, I didn't have any frame of reference for the "born again" birth announcement. Are we sure of those dates?

6. part of a longstanding Bush pattern ...

Hey -- we know he's not talking about the White House cat "India" (I've never even seen him petting her!)

During his campaign, I saw enough to believe that George W. is a mealymouthed guy who is quite nasty in private. My suspicions of this have been confirmed by the numerous reports of how he acts when he thinks he's with like-minded types ... making jokes about prisoners whom he's signed death warrants for, saying crude and unkind things about other people who have done him no real wrong, and using inappropriate familiarity as a way to bully others (nicknames, headlocks, and hair-rubbing).

His insincerity about women, for example ... telling people in private that he thought Yale had made a mistake by going co-ed. But when the camera's on him, it's all "W is for women".

I've worked with (and even dated) guys who had this two-faced approach. Every single one of them, I've had a gut feeling that this person is going to screw up disasterously, blame it on others, and leave a trail of damage that will take years to mend.

Every time so far, I've been right.

p.s. to what an earlier poster said ... I believe that Junior is just nosy and prurient enough to comment on sex, in front of his dad. Whether GHWB would answer him is another matter. Poppy had a major angst attack over whether Bar had dated other guys before him, so it's reasonable that he'd be a bit shy on this topic (as are most people from their generation and social class). But Junior used to make outrageous passes at his mom's friends when he wasn't even in his teens ... and he even pestered a complete stranger, Alexandra Pelosi, about whom she was dating and whether she'd "gone beyond hand-holding" yet.

I bet George W. talks quite freely about sex, if he feels that the listener is sympathetic or too scared to blab about it.

7. how does this square with family values???
why would a married man be talking with his dad about p---y???

Isn't he getting enough from his wife???? If not, shouldn't he be seeing a sex therapist about this problem?

Is he talking about his wife or someone else? If he's talking about his wife, isn't that rather disgusting? Isn't it weird listening to your son's private life? My parents wouldn't have wanted to hear the details about mine.

Since both of them are married, what business does he have talking about other p---y??? I wouldn't appreciate it if my fiance talked about other p----y.

Frankly the only p---y I would want him to talk about is mine. And I would only want him to talk about it with me -- no one else. I imagine Laura would feel the same way too. Or if she didn't want to talk about it at all, maybe that's something they could discuss with a sex therapist.

Maybe GW should take a page from Jimmy Carter and only "lust in his heart" -- if he kept his lusts to himself, no one would be offended. Maybe GW could do one better than Carter and not even lust at all.

The more I think about it, the more I want GW to see a therapist.

8. Better yet, just get him fixed.
It would improve his attitude immensely.
