Arizona Governor to take Immigration Bill to Supreme Court
Gov. Jan Brewer, in denial of the absurdity of the Immigration Bill, SB 1070, that she signed into law in April 2010, has decided to take the bill to the Supreme Court in hopes that they somehow will find that the provisions in the bill superseding the federal government will be deemed permissible, after large portions of the bill were struck down by a federal judge last July, then confirmed in an appeals hearing last month.

The finding by the Supreme Court, who were also the fine folks who gave us Citizens United, could pave the way for other states to enact legislation targeted at Hispanic Immigrants.

1. Even though the SCOTUS is crazy
I doubt they will let a state supersede federal law.

2. How About
They letting a state enforce a federal law that isn't being enforced by the feds? I think they just might let that fly.

3. That is what they are betting on
I think Brewer and her gang are banking on the conservative Justices to see this exactly the way you described instead of an attempt to supersede a federal jurisdiction. If I had any faith in this Court, I would say it could never happen, but that would be foolish.

4. " Taking it to the streets "
When will the average American get off their over size buns and demand that justice be served instead serving the unjust wealthy criminals and their shills and enablers? We need leaders like Dr.King today to lead the complacent public against the greedy, hateful, kings and queens of industry,to remind the elected officials who they were elected to serve,"Make it uncomfortable for the comfortable",take our grievances to the street we can't take them to our congress they are too bust taking bribes from the criminals that are destroying democracy.
