http://www.al.com/news/independent/index.ssf?/xml/story.ssf/html_standard.xsl?/base/columnists/106079130226970.xmlWriting Tuesday I am aware that State Chief Justice Roy Moore has said he will make a statement at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the rotunda of the State Judicial Building. I would not presume to know what Judge Moore will say, but it is expected that he will make public his intent not to obey a federal court order to remove the two-ton-plus granite Ten Commandments Monument from the state court building.
I am also aware that thousands of his supporters from across the nation will converge on Montgomery the following Saturday to support Moore. Security precautions at the judicial building are the tightest they have ever been at the Dexter Avenue facility which holds the State Supreme Court two intermediate appellate courts and the Administrative office of Courts. All I can think of to say at the moment is...Thank God for California.
...snip...
The end result, however, of all of this is that Judge Moore, will have achieved, for himself, a political and economic advantage by the use of God's holy name.
I believe his actions to be both immoral and blasphemous and I pray that God will have mercy on his soul.
