7a) Every person in the colony, or every person who comes into it shall repair to the minister of the church, and be examined in the faith, and be instructed. If instruction is refused, for the first offense - whipping, 2nd offense, whipped twice and compelled to acknowledge his fault before the assembly of the congregation, continued refusal - daily whippings until instruction is accepted.
