Saddam should throw himself on the mercy of the international UN court.
He could state his case. He would likely survive alive. He would be tried for his crimes. He would embarrass the Bush admin for their lying and halt their plans to execute Saddam on sight. He could put a light on our history of giving him, chemical, bio, and allowing him nuclear tech. He could point to our helping him gas the kurds. Everyone wins except violent neocons.

1. there's no 'dead or alive' for him
it's dead only. just like his son's, no way the powers-that-be want him taken alive so he can rat out the bastards that invaded his country.
