5. You got that right.
I can't look at this man without rembembering all the people he, or others under his direction, raped, tortured, mutilated, or murdered. I will so enjoy the day this psychotic creature is captured or killed. I don't care which it is. Oh, I know, wanting him dead makes me a "bad" democrat. I was also very happy when Timothy McVeigh was put to death. Gee, I wonder if they'll let me stay in the party after that confession.

6. Not at all...
I think some people get carried away in their revoltion against the war fever, but I really don't think anyone is defending Saddam Hussein. You'll find much more criticism of the US role in supporting his government over the years here, than you'll find among the far right. Ba'athism is basically fascism, though cannot be compared with European fascism because Iraq is a third world country without the capabilities of an imperialist country. I couldn't ever defend Saddam Hussein--he led an anti-popular state with brutality, drowning progressive movements in blood.

....please don't come bitching to us when the time comes that you are denied your basic human rights. Saddam was a sick evil bastard and should get everything coming to him........but not before his day in court! :evilgrin:

I wouldn't say wanting him dead makes you a bad Democrat.
Democrats aren't the only people who believe in the rule of law! :)
