Opinion: Clark should make a deal....

I have often thought of Clark as a great VP candidate. Aside from that, he has no money, no declaration that he is running,etc. But he has done a great job of traveling and getting the real issues of the Iraq war out there.

Now, remember that he told Carson that he was running "as a concerned citizen."

Now let't consider this scenario:

Should he run as a Republican?

Think about it. He would give Bush hell in the primaries, drain his cash flow, and present the view that Bush f*ed up in foreign policy as a Republican position, thus getting the media off the Dems' back for criticizing Bush.

In return, he could be appointed Secretary of Defense.

I've thought about that as well, but his political views simply don't come anywhere close to being a Republican IMO.

OTOH, I think being appointed Secretary of Defense by a Dem President is a possiblity.

He's not a Republican, so he won't run as one. If he decides to get into the Democratic race, me and MANY others will financially support him. I hope he declares.
