Today Bush’s radio address dealt with economy. He told the nation that things were getting better, the unemployment was worrisome, but over all his policies were working.
Bush said "The best way to promote growth and job creation is to leave more money in the pockets of households and small businesses, instead of taxing it away," Bush said in his radio address for Saturday. "So we lowered income tax rates, cut taxes on dividends and capital gains, reduced the marriage penalty and increased the child tax credit."
Bush went on to say that without the tax cuts unemployment would be one-percentage point higher.
Governor of Virginia Mark Warner responded for the Democrats in a radio address. Governor Warner said,
"Instead, the real record is that our country lost 3.1 million jobs and their policies have turned the $236 billion surplus they inherited into a $455 billion deficit," Warner said.
Warner said that after the federal government "spent almost 10 years getting rid of our national budget deficit, the president's economic policies create new deficits and will saddle future generations with debts that our children and grandchildren will be paying for years to come."
Just like Ron Rea'goon' and Pap (how does a Walmart scanner work) Bush, the current idjit-in-charge has no care as to how his policies are devastating the working class.
