right now on Pacifica - live coverage once again started after the afternoon break. Democracy Now's Amy Goodman and Flashpoint's Dennis Bernstein.

1. Aristide & wife abducted at gun-point by US Marines

Supposedly up in a plane for the last 15 hours? Incommunicado?

I'm just grateful his children are out of the country :(

Abducted at 2 in the morning by American forces and packed off to somewhere we don't know. We have no idea where they are. They have not arrived in South Africa and South Africa had never been contacted for asylum. We have no idea where they are (Aristide & his wife)


Mildred Aristide who just last night was reiterating that under NO circumstances would they leave and hand their country over to thugs and killers armed by the United States.
