The local ABC station is airing the "debates." There are fifteen candidates, 7 repug and 8 dems. Five are being allowed to debate. Here's who's on.
Andy McKenna, republican, McKinton says Bush did the right thing on the war on terrorism because a few days after 9/11 Bush said we had to fight terrorism (ugh). He added that a free and democratic society is a contribution to the fight against terrorism.
Steven Rauschenberger, republican senator, says affirmative action HAD a chance to make a change in America but he doesn't support discriminatory practices aimed at remedying past discrimination.
John Borling, retired major, republican, is Chairman of Performance Consulting Group (PCG), an integrated energy services company, providing conservation solutions to larger private and public entities. Borling is the founder and CEO of SOS America (Service Over Self), a national, patriotic organization advocating one year of military service for America's youth (18-26).
Jim Oberweis, republican (of Oberweis Dairies) states he supports Iraq War and Bush did the right thing. He's being given lottts of face time. His platform is illegal immigration. (Note to self: NEVER buy Oberweis products again.)
Jack Ryan, republican, a wealthy Goldman Sachs investment banker supports President Bush's war on terrorism and wants to keep spending and taxes low.
They are only listing the names of the candidates--no political affliation is shown.
