President Bush, facing criticism from victims' relatives for using images of the destroyed World Trade Center in campaign ads, will visit a Sept. 11 memorial in New York next week.

Bush plans to tour the memorial Thursday in Long Island's Nassau County, one of the city's suburbs, prior to attending a re-election fund-raiser that night in East Meadow, N.Y.

The visit comes as Bush's campaign ads with images of the skeletal remains of the Trade Center and fire fighters carrying a flag-draped stretcher angered several relatives, who asked that the ads be pulled from the airwaves.

4. I don't know - that's far from the city
I don't know what kind of protest would happen on Long Island. It's kind of doubtful, IMO. Maybe some students.

3. He will do anything
We know he will say or do anything to win, no matter how outrageous. He has already politicized nine-eleven; he used it to cram through his fascists agenda. USA PATRIOT Act has taken away every single one of our rights in some way or another. We will also say anything about his opponents, no matter how ridiculously untrue it is. He has already accused us of being elitist while he was cutting the taxes of the rich.

6. shouldn't we just be thankful

that the president has taken time from his various vacations to actually work as head of state? I mean, after all, there's nothing political about the visit - it's out of pure concern for the citizens of this great country . ;)

what i find most typical is that, given the uproar, Bush has probably had to scrap 15 or so other commercials featuring trade center rubble. the administration has just been sent back to its cage with its tail between its legs. they probably have to go back to the drawing board strategy-wise. if the public doesn't have the stomach to see 9/11 turned into a political campaign then what will our Dear Leader do, hadn't 9/11 "changed everything"? what else does chimp have to fall back on?

It would seem that round one goes to Kerry. And, you guessed it, it's because chimp can act presidential - but can't act honest.
