Take Away Bush's Script & This Puppy Could Blow Wide Open!!
Observed something. Kerry bounds onto a stage and, of course, has planted in the back of his mind what he wants to hit upon with his address to the crowd. He talks off the cuff and bounds around the stage full of energy.

Bush stands behind a podium and reads everything. His so-called 'gloves off' attacks are more like 'reading glasses on'attacks. He reads, purses lips, flips page, swaggers. This moron can't even insult and attack someone without someone else thinking up the words for him.

Now, I think the DNC should take aside a few choice reporters and offer them a bounty on Bush's head. The reporters task is to fling some Kerry insult at the bastard when he doesn't have a script in front of him. Bush insulted, in a rage and with no scripted words to read, is a Bush who could self-destruct in five minutes in front of the American people. I think Kerry is so bright, so controlled, so fast thinking that they are not going to ever catch him doing something stupid. But, oh my God, the possibilities of catching Bush as the campaign rolls on (and especially if Bush's numbers keep looking like crap)and having him do real stupid things is very high. They are going to have to put him out in front of people of some sort and not just speeches to donors. That's when the time comes to nail him.

1. He always seems on the verge
I wonder how they've kept him together this long.

3. a boatload of Zanax is my guess
I can't wait to see him finally lose it. Of course, once he does Tweety and Howard Fineman will praise him for 'being an average guy under pressure', blahblahblah.

5. Oh, if he blew they would
Remember his attacking David Gregory in France?? Remember the remark on the campaign trail about the reporter, etc. Every network is pushing the "the gloves are off", "going to be worst battle ever". Of course they would cover any explosion because they know someone else will and the idea is to dish the dirt first. Oh, and I think there are a bunch of reporters who would love to stick it to him and goad him.

4. Not going to happen.
Bush is very carefully coached, and he's had close on six years of the coaching now. In 2000, that might have worked, but now he wouldn't take the bait.

6. They must have coached
him for that Meet the Press thing and it didn't do a damn bit of good. He looked like a squirrely little boy who got caught with a load in his pants the whole time. He was terrible!

7. Debates, debates, debates....
...do reporters have a say in what they will ask at these press conferences? I think they would loose their American citizenship, not to mention their careers in DC. But, I could be wrong about the power the Bush machine can exert. If Bushes popularity numbers keep falling, they will have to produce something spectacular, like Osama in a straight jacket, or nuclear attack on North Korea.

8. There won't be any debates
Or any other uncontrolled Q&A sessions. Rove knows chimpy will "implode" in a live debate, so there won't be any. It will just be sound bites on TV shows or whitehouse press meetings where * will just read from a teleprompter.

I bet any reporter hurling an insult at * will be cuffed and stuffed by the CIA. The voice of opposition will be silenced by the * regime.

9. * makes an ass out of himself every time he talks off the cuff
and half the time they don't even show it on the news.

The guy is such a dolt he doesn't even know basic facts.

Remember with Kofi Anan when he said something like "Saddam kicked out the inspectors, so we had to invade" or some such bullshit.

The question is will the news media start showing what an idiot he is?

10. I'm convinced
that Dubya's lifeline in every debate, every conference is an earpiece.

So many of his responses start out with fumbling inanities, declarative generalities, and abruptly, like the gears suddenly meshing in his head, he becomes confident and coherent.

The infamous "there's time for politics" clip is an example:

http://images.indymedia.org/imc/washingtondc/media/video/6/9_11laugh.mpg

He's thoroughly discombobulated, got that "I forgot my homework" face, can't speak, can't look at anybody. Then he recovers a bit, manages a smirk, leans on the podium, and delivers that "It's an absurd assinuation" retort.

What I wouldn't give to be able to blast some high octane rock and roll into that earpiece during the debates....
