Finally got a response from Urban Outfitters
who were selling a t-shirt with an emblem stating "Voting is for Old People".

I wrote to them and complained about it. Today, I got this non-apology:

Hello,

Due to the continued misunderstanding surrounding the intended message of
creator John Foster-Keddie, we have decided to discontinue offering the "Voting
Is For Old People" tee-shirt.

Urban Outfitters is a company primarily made up of young men and women who are
obviously very concerned with the future of this country. We are optimistic,
open-minded and outspoken - our manner is the antithesis of apathetic. We have
no interest in discouraging anyone, much less, young people from voting. Thus
we regret the misunderstanding that has occurred, but we appreciate the
emotional debate that both the t-shirt and Mr. Keddie have created.

If you have any further questions or comments, please email us at
service@UrbanOutfitters.com or call our Customer Service Department at
800.959.8794 Monday-Friday from 8AM - 8PM EST. Thank you for your order!

Please include this e-mail in your response.

Sincerely,
Internet Correspondent
UrbanOutfitters.com

I'm glad they stopped selling it, but I have to laugh at their contention that the whole brouhaha was caused by "misunderstanding" on behalf of the public. Dumbasses.
