If a Democrat had been President on 9/11... (Call for SLOGANS)

...all we would be hearing now would be "asleep at the wheel", "asleep at the wheel", "asleep at the wheel".

Let's take the gloves off and stop with the acronyms like "LIHOP" which are almost impossible to prove and sound too tin-hat.

We know how the Republican sloganeers work - we've seen their slimy products over the years: "personal responsibility", "freedom, faith and family", "welfare queen", "flip-flop", "soft on crime", "Hanoi John" etc.

Imagine what sort of slogans would the Republican phrase-making machine come up with if a Democrat had been in office on 9/11.

Now turn it around and think up some subtle, nasty slogans that can characterize what Bush and Ashcroft and Cheney and Condi were doing in August 2001. "Bunnypants" and "LIHOP" are good for DU - but try to come up with some slogans that would make a Republican pause and reflect...

- "asleep at the wheel"

- "on vacation"

- "back at the ranch"

- "in bed with Bin Laden"

- "soft on the Saudis"

...

"Just another Tuesday".

For pushing this "anti-terrorist" thing.

At the end of the day, everybody who worked at the WTC would have left work & gone home. Some of them (along with some of the police & firefighters) might have stopped off for a drink on the way. John O'Neill definitely would have been at the saloon. Not dead. None of these people would have died.

Bush is a Fraud in everything he says and does. For example:

Myth: Bush lives on a ranch in Crawford, TX

Reality: The "ranch" was planned and built after bush decided to run for president. It is nothing but a stage set.

I looked up the lyrics, it fits. Playing in the background with George in all his different costumes. The Great Pretender. Come to think of it, he's even a Pretend President.

Because it so freaking true and the rest of us are working our asses off.

Sadaam would still be in Iraq... and bin Laden would be in custody.
