Check out this fascist post on the Yahoo message boards
Why I go there is beyond me, but this one is just priceless. The language in it is literally fascistic.

If we elect John Kerry it will be a slap in the face to our troops in the field. We cannot replace their commander-in-chief in the middle of a war. That cannot be allowed. Also, electing Kerry would be a sign to the rest of the world that our resolve is weakening in America. The terrorists would surely be pleased with Kerry victory. Why would we want to change? American today is stronger, safer and more prosperous under President Bush's strong leadership. We're winning the war on terrorism and our economy is recovering handsomely.

What a bald-faced lie. I don't know how these people look their selves in the mirror without laughing anymore. Don't they know they have no credibility? What a joke. I used to think they were stupid. Now I just think they're evil.

11. he's saying, "cancel the election"
this is indeed a typical fascist strategy:

nationalism, militarism, identification of the nation with the leader, smearing anyone who dares question or challenge the leader as illegitimate, as endangering the nation...

It's all there.

17. wow. sure read a lot into his support of bush.
have you looked at some of the support on the other side? for crying out loud, if this is how you want to water down the meaning of words, it wont remain a term of derision it will become a joke.
this misguided person has no power at all and the responses from his "buds" rejected his lame attempt to persuade.
to be honest, i'm not really outraged at the idea that this example is a fascist post, it just caught my attention how ridiculous the accusation was. couldn't stop laughing.

4. I want to know what drug these people are taking. With Bush
in office, I need a large supply of it. Anyone have the answer to where we are stronger, safer, or more prosperous right now? I just cannot hallucinate that much on my own. I need massive quantites of drugs for that many hallucinations.

6. Just a jerk, not a "fascist".
I think what that guy wrote was extremely partisan, boneheaded and inflammatory, but I did not see anything fascist about it.

I think it was Orwell who said that "fascism" has lost all meaning other than to denote something bad.

7. Silly and question?
Were we not in a cold war from 1947 to 1990? How many Pres. did we vote out? How many parties? Bush is counting on this and that is the reason for the war cry on every thing.Every country has had terrorists and do not call it a war. This also keeps the money going to the MIC. People should just wake up. What a waste for our tax payers and our people.

8. That sounds a lot like Cole's bit on a vote for Kerry being like a vote
for Hitler, without the Hitler part.

Oklahoma Republican Rep. Tom Cole said Thursday he did not intend to equate a vote against President Bush to a vote for Adolf Hitler, but stuck by recent comments that a Bush loss would be a win for Osama bin Laden.

During a speech to Republicans in Yukon, Okla., last Saturday, the first-term congressman said that "if George Bush loses the election, Osama bin Laden wins the election" since enemies of the United States would interpret it as a sign of weakness.

Bin Laden is the alleged mastermind of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, that killed nearly 3,000 people.

"What do you think Hitler would have thought if Roosevelt would've lost the election in 1944? He would have thought American resolve was" (weakening), Cole said, according to a spokeswoman.

After local news reports paraphrased Cole as claiming a vote against Bush is a vote for Hitler, some Democrats demanded he apologize.

"What I am saying is that in a time of war, if our commander in chief is defeated in an election, our adversary will regard that as a triumph," Cole told CNN in an interview Thursday.

9. "electing Kerry would be a sign ... that our resolve is weakening"
Well, I can assure everyone that the "rest of the World" would cheer it as a sign that the US people have finally come to their senses.

I rarely bother to debate with these loons. It's a waste of my time. They are in another dimension where logic is not relevant.
