FORCE bush to testify 'under oath' at the 9-11 inquiries
i wonder why bush is hiding from the 9-11 probes? i wonder why he agreed to meet with them, but only behind closed doors, only one hour, and NOT under oath. we need a new word for insulting...."mr. president, don't 'bush' my intelligence.

how arrogant of these people, the worst attack on america ever, and he fights to stop the inquiries.....I WONDER WHY?

i wonder why he doesn't want to answer questions while under oath?
hmmmmm.....could it be....he's hiding something really horrible?

i wonder why he's afraid to say something under oath that might come back to haunt, or impeach him? i wonder why he's willing to use 9-11 as a political advantage, but NOT willing to face the victim's families face to face.

the repubs harped for years, and still are, about how sure, Clinton only told a little naughty lie, BUT IT WAS UNDER OATH, therefore, he must be impeached. we cannot have a lying president right?

i wonder why the very president of the u.s. is running and hiding and refusing to testify under oath about the greatest tragedy of the new century, and in all of our collective history as a nation.

i wonder why........?......and i'm afraid i know

1. Because they can't?
Forcing him to testify would raise separation of powers questions left and right... since this is not related to the power of impeachment....

3. gosh, you sure gave up quick!
at least give it a shot, and consider it for more than a few seconds before you cave in. are you suggesting that bush and co. have done NOTHING that qualifies them for impeachment?

we are both on the same side, and i appreciate your knowledge of the workings of the govt. but surely we can make an attempt at dragging the man into court, under oath, and just answer some questions. then when he's caught lying about the deaths of thousands of people, he can be removed from our sight, impeachment or not.

2. Just because people are dead won't make him have to testify. NOW if it...
was his sex life - that would be different. Come to think of it - he would have to be a Democrat for even that to happen!

:(

4. and FORCE him to do so before the ENTIRE committee
this is so important. He's on the defensive now, so it's now time to push them to the wall on this.

WHY are they refusing to fully cooperate?

WHAT are they afraid of?

WHAT are they trying to hide?

5. Here are the answers they will give
"President Bush has done nothing wrong; his enemies want to drag him in front of some witch hunt courtroom where they can insinuate all kinds of lies and deceptions about his performance. Why he might even be accused of having caused September 11th for some nefarious reason."

I mean turn it around, if you liked President Bush and were advising him, would you tell him to go into that situation? Even assuming, as I think we can, that the commission will go easy on him, all it takes is one loosely worded question and President Bush will go off like a rocketship. Or something like that.

7. I don't think he can be FORCED to testify under oath...
But I'm no lawyer.

What we CAN do, and YOU do this better than most, is eviscerate him in the court of public opinion. That's right my friend. Just like they did in the old days in Sicily. Cut them off and ram them down his goddam throat. Verbally, of course.

And all of us can ask your questions over and over.

Why won't he testify?
What is he hiding?
