The only post I persoanlly have made about this was that I don't wish illhealth on anyone. I don't agree with hoping someone dies or is seriously ill or in pain but that is the option for anyone who cares to sign up. I suggest that this person look around the Freep from time to time in order to have some context and something to compare it to.

Our conservative newspaper carries her column and just reading the titles are enough to raise my blood pressure. The few times I have managed to read a few lines only reinforced the image I have of her as being a completely shallow, hate-filled lunatic.

As a Pacifist I do not wish suffering to any human being.

I think it is inappropriate to use DU as a forum to spread hatred of any human being or to wish suffering on others.

There are many here who believe that the Bush administration has spread suffering andf hate and rightly oppose that.

There are those, like Bill Maher, who assert that Ashcroft's bad karma caught up with him.

But I do think we need to use this high profile event as an opportunity to take the high road and condemn the tactics of hate used by the right wing and to embrace the principles of nonviolence and love.

We do NOT need to become like those who oppress the world.

We can only be victorious if we embrace the principles of peace and humanity.

It was NOT humane to wish ill or suffering to Ashcroft and we should renounce that.

One that really caught my attention was one by some purported "pro-life" freepers who referred to Palestinian children as "maggots" and called for the establishment of free abortion clinics in the West Bank.

Wellstones' beliefs were of the most disturbing in the Democratic Party. He was a traitor to the US Constitution. He made his living off the poor in this country by exploiting their plight and KEEPING THEM DOWN.

I applaud the powers-that-be that caused his plane to go down. I see it almost as divine intervention. I am only crying because Ted Kennedy was not with him at the time.
