Bush has good numbers a long time ago...

...and he's a "Popular President" forever. Those numbers are long gone and will likely not return. He started out bad and will end worse.

Kerry's numbers are soaring. The big story is of a quickly solidifying base and an unhappy country. Kerry is hitting home runs at every stump and very effectively fighting off every attack.

And what does Kurtz ask?

"But are these early poll numbers real?"

I dunno, Howie. Were Bush's long gone 9/11 numbers real?
