The other two guys look like interesting people. One looks in the same direction as Bush is looking, perhaps the instructor. One guy seems to have noticed the photographer.

You say the "Barney picture is real". What makes a picture real or fake has nothing to do with how it is titled. Just because you say it's real doesn't make it so.

In the first place, I find it highly unlikely that the President is going to be carrying a terrier down the steps of Airforce One.

Secondly, the picture does not show Barney being dropped. It shows Barney on his back. I repeat, it does not show the dog being dropped.

Bush no more dropped that dog than President Johnson was abusing his dogs. Sheesh!!

I have to say it loks a lot like an old lady at the grocery store with "Mr.Fluffles".

The Barney shot is real. Letterman showed the video of it several time and look at the faces on Pickles and the kids.

I had never seen the windsurfing shot before but in Sports Illustrated they did ask him about windsurfing from Cape Cod to Marth's Vineyard (insert Mass Lib comment) a couple of times. It is a 6 hour ride.

So, I guess your statement is true. :shrug: BushJr did drop his dog and LBJ did lift his beagles by the ears.

Oh... and the earth isn't flat, either. Those pictures from space showing a sphere (oblate spheroid, actually) aren't a hoax either. :eyes:

Check out the faces of the onlookers. They aren't amused if that's just a photo of Barney rolling over. They look worried. And damn anyone who drops a dog!

it's hard to tell if there are actually covers on the lenses, or just a reflection.

Whether real or manipulated, these photographs demonstrate nothing beyond the trivial. As much as we may enjoy poking fun at our politicians, they aren't so clueless that they don't know binoculars don't work with the lens caps in place, or would stand confusedly staring through capped binoculars at total blackness for several minutes at a time. Hardly anyone among us hasn't accidentally raised a capped pair of binoculars to his eyes for a few moments before realizing the problem; the difference is that most of us don't have a crowd of photographers hanging around us all day long just waiting to snap such a picture of the moment.
