McCain Open To Being Kerry's Running Mate (AP)
From the article:

"McCain said he would consider the unorthodox step of running for vice president on the Democratic ticket - in the unlikely event he received such an offer from the presidential candidate.....'John Kerry is a close friend of mine. We have been friends for years,' McCain said Wednesday when pressed to squelch speculation about a Kerry-McCain ticket. 'Obviously I would entertain it.'"

5. what's awesome about it?
I could never possibly vote for Kerry if this were the case.

The only thing good I can see about it is that it shows Bush is losing support among his own people.

No, I don't want McCain on a Democratic ticket. But, I do love that McCain said he might do it. Oh Bushy, You're in real trouble.

4. They've already put out a release saying "no, he won't"
McCain is like that. He'll seem in favor of something reasonable, everyone gets excited and then he remembers he belongs to the Dark Side.

7. He actually denied it

Within hours, the Arizona senator's chief of staff, Mark Salter, closed the door on that idea. "Senator McCain will not be a candidate for vice president in 2004," Salter told The Associated Press, saying he spoke for the senator.

McCain had emphasized how unlikely the whole idea was.

"It's impossible to imagine the Democratic Party seeking a pro-life, free-trading, non-protectionist, deficit hawk," the senator told ABC's "Good Morning America" during an interview about illegal steroid use. "They'd have to be taking some steroids, I think, in order to let that happen."

10. "deficit hawk,"
And how did Mr. Deficit Hawk vote for each of Bush* Economic positions? He is just like all other republicans. They have a Credibility problem. In fact the Republican Party now has a major Credibility Problem and even they are beginning to realize it.

9. No one else has mentioned the "steroids" slur.
He's saying Republicans are more masculine and more potent...that a Dem would need "steroids" to think like one. It pissed me off.
