1. It wasn't Aznar who was defeated,
it was his hand-picked successor. There is a big difference, since often it is the persona, rather than the policies, that sway the swayable voters.

4. I don't know how to vote on this one
I think Blair loses, but I'm afraid that I still think the shrub wins.

3. The world just moved forward today
Humanity has won out over the forces of evil today, and the world has just moved a little closer to peace. Civilization works.

6. I think Howard will be the next to go,
by July, August, then Bush. Blair will be the last because his party doesn't have anyone to replace him.

7. I think you may be a bit optimistic
The Australians I know here in Japan can't stand Howard with a passion, but they don't see him leaving any time soon.

What matters, of course, is bu$h-- if he goes, then the whole house of cards comes falling down.

8. Bush is gonna lose...he will try something stupid, get caught, and lose.
And I am gonna laugh! He can't get away with anything, the whole world is watching him now. And anything that happens now, happens on his watch! Kerry will not let him avoid resposibility, like he did when he went AWOL.

No way will he give up without trying something stupid...because he thinks it's his divine right, and he is stupid.

I don't know why Blair and Howard have not been given the boot already, but I'll bet it won't be long.

Some observers say Spain''s ruling party was defeated because of its support for the war on Iraq. Do you think the decision to go to war with Iraq will hurt or help the re-election prospects of George W. Bush and Tony Blair?
