OK, this is juvenile but this is how fed up I am
I need to watch it because I don't want to wind up getting shot, but I was driving to work and some idiot drove by me on the expressway whose license plate read 1GOP1 (I might add, he was driving completely arrogantly (no signalling, etc...typically of the party he's so proud of).

I waited until he got far enough ahead of me and promptly flipped him the one finger salute, then gave him three fingers to spell "W" and the thumbs down symbol.

Jack ass...

1. Call the police, I implore you to make a complaint.
I've been lucky on the roads... but a year or so ago there were these kids. Arrogant and clearly dangerous to other drivers with their reckless driving. They tried playting their game with me.

If I had a cell phone, I'd have broken my own rule of 'hang up and drive' just to call the police on those cretins and to get their licenses revoked for good.

On the roads, it doesn't matter what's on your bumper. HUMAN LIVES are at stake and it's one situation where the rule of law really should be enforced.

You have the license plate #. I implore you to call the filthy pig in for his reckless driving.

5. Good point.
Actually, it was more a statement against him being a GOP wanker.

Good point, though, about the "non-drivers" and the reckless drivers. Very dangerous.

8. Oops, I'd misread your post!
Still, given the general animosity of repukes, they'll act like their typical unevolved animal selves on the road if they see a car with "LIBERAL!!" bumper stickers. (I saw a car the other day that was wonderfully pro-liberal, with a ton of liberal bumper stickers. I was amazed at how pristine the car looked under those circumstances, I was expecting a ton of key marks and dents.)

11. Just make sure it's a GOP driver first
You would not want to turn in a reckless DLC driver.

16. Hell yeah! Give them a little taste of Ashcroft's America.
Make it plain to them that in Ashcroft's America, their lawless ways will not be tolerated.

With any luck, his life would be ruined forever. Hard to fit in at the country club with a big fat public endangerment/reckless driving conviction around his neck.

2. Don't get shot
But really, he deserved it. It's like smoking. We have to make it socially unacceptable to be a Republican. :-)

That's what they tried to do to the word "liberal." Time to ATTACK BACK!!

13. Welcome to DU, SCRUBDASHRUB
:toast: :toast:

Come on in, you and the hubby have a few

We will need your wallet, your pen, your time and your efforts in the next 9 months.

Oh, I don't mean DU (I am not affiliated with this fantastic website and thus speak only for myself). I mean you...personally.

Each one of us must do their part, however small or large. Be it 10 minutes to plant a poster in your yard and chat with a few people to Kerry Regional Campaign Manager and evrything in between.

Write a letter to the Editor. Donate. Volunteer at local Kerry headquarters. Talk to everyone you know. One person at a time. They aren't going to learn the truth listening to the Bloated Bushevik Pundits on Corporate TV Pravda.

Do anything you can. Be creative.

It all starts at www.johnkerry.com

This is by far the most important election of our lives, if you're under 65.

Again...welcome.

:toast: :hi: :toast:

last week. In fact, I posted this and apparently, some others on here did so right after I did.

Thanks for the welcome.

25. So donate again...

This year, like no other, my monthly donation to Kerry is like my credit card bill. Until November...when the debt is hopefully paid.

Not to be pushy, do whatever you want. You know...it's still a 98% free country (though the missing 2% holds up the rest).

Sorry for asking you here but I've been wondering because I've been there several times and have had it bookmarked for awhile I think since the war started.

31. I wish...
Funny story, that. Back when I joined DU, in late March 2001 (when there were a scant handful of folks chatting away), I was just beginning to discover the well of discontent on the Web at the stolen election.

I chose my moniker that day, choosing one of my favorite Founding Fathers and the one one likely to be condemning Bunnypants* phony religiosity and hollow piety unmatched by deeds. Read his "Age of Reason" sometimes.

He would have HATED the Busheviks as we do...as he hated the first King George for very similar reasons.

Anywa, the funny part is, after I'd register and posted a dozen posts, I Googled up the www.tompaine.com website.

But I couldn't part with my moniker.

29. Doing best I can
Edited on Thu Mar-18-04 10:29 PM by SCRUBDASHRUB
No thanks to Shrub, I haven't had a raise (not even cost of living) in three years (though feel fortunate to have a job (I am miserable in it..work for a complete jerk). Hubby's giving some to Kerry soon. My cousin is running for congress (davidasheforcongress.com), so we're giving to him, too. Doing to best we can w/ what we have, and I am spreading the word to others to donate and do what they can.

Most importantly, it's critical that people get out and vote this November. How can we ensure people do that?

4. That's not juvenile. Juvenile would have meant following him to a gas
station, and "improving" his license plates when he went in to pay.

Try this one: On a Friday, after working hours, put a crack & peel sign on your local republican headquarter's (8.5X11 crack & peel inkjet paper is available at any major office supply company) front door. Have the sign read "Whites only - Blacks please use rear entrance."

With any luck, it will remain up until Monday. For additional fun, call the local papers and complain about what you "just saw".

MPM,
Master election prankster.

22. Don't want no part of that sh*t, dude!
Who are you, Karl Rove of the Democratic Party?

You know, I don't want to get down in the gutter with those swine. We gotta be strong, we gotta be smart, we gotta make it hard as hell to cheat for them.

But what we DON'T have to do is create our own Soviet Pravda. Hitting back is acceptable. Shining light of truth on lies, excellent.

Our own Karl's Dirty Tricks Squad?

No thanks.

I like your handle, quite a bit, and I DEFINITELY like your fire. We need every single swingin' d*ck in this platoon, troop, come November!

Seriously. Think about it. You really want to be THAT much like the Busheviks. Count me out.

33. Sure. Seriously, though...around here, ANYTHING can (and does)
go in politics...from "improving" billboards, to digging the dead up to vote, it all happens.

The side that slows down loses...and Kerry cannot afford to lose Illinois.

34. Doesn't mean I have to like it
(and no reply is necessary, I'm not going to dance in circles with you on this...get the last word if you wish)

You go right ahead and be the Democratic "Garrack" (Deep Space-9 fan?). I can't stop you and it's, at least until January 2005, a 98% free country.

(after that, if the Emperor remains, no one can say how long it will last)

But I don't agree. Not a bit.

We're gonna have to agree to strongly disagree on that one.

Just because there are bad things going on doesn't give a person carte blanche to add to it.

that's personal.

As much as I disagree with Republicans, he/she still has the right to display what party he/she belongs to, right? Freedom of speech afterall.

I bet if I had GOP SUX OR DEMSRUL, my tires would have been slashed. My state and my city in particular, is big-time Republican. Freedom of speech, just like my freedom to flip him off was freedom of expression.

10. No state was mentioned.
It'd be easier to find out a person's address from their website's domain information, which is freely available through a common website many webmasters know about...

With no state having been mentioned, somebody would have to spend a bit of time tracking 50 states. Unless that info can be procured over the internet (may THAT never happen), the chances of somebody caring that much is rare.

Not to say that's not a good point, it still is personal information.

But if I could write down a neighbor's license # and go to city hall to ask for info on it...

28. Are you being a hypocrite?
Yes, there may be a "war," but you believe in the first amendment, right? Aren't we all pissed about the rights of speech Dubya is taking away from us?

If you're for the First amendment, then don't be for it in certain situations. Be for it in ALL situations.

I'm NOT sticking up for Republicans. I just think we shouldn't be hypocrites either.
