I voted no the war was not a succcess.
Here is a techy question - when my husband tried to vote using the same computer, the number of "no's" didn't change

How can the second person get their vote counted?

9. cookies folder
Go into your computers cookies folder (do a search for "cookies" if you don't know where it is) and delete the CNN poll cookie. It helps if you sort by date.

13. you really went out on a limb on that one
The Iraq war is so successful that they just reported another bombing in Baghdad

I feel very bad for the families and especially DUers who have relatives over there fighting this completely unnecessary war

How can that bastard even think about playing golf or attending rodeos while innocent people get killed over there on a daily basis?

14. Because he's never been in a War
He's lived a life of priviledge and I have no idea how any soldier can look up to him. He's a disgrace and an embarrassment to all Americans.

15. It's not done yet...
I find it hard to vote on something that hasn't concluded yet. When Iraq has it's own government and we bring all out troops home, then it'll be the time to decide if it's a success or not.
A more reasonable poll would ask..."Are ongoing operations in Iraq a success?" Then you would have to ask for the specific operation.
Are we successfully detaining innocent civilians? I think yes.
Were we successful with getting rid of Hussein? We have him in custody, so yes.
Are we successfully pissing off allot of other countries by being in there? Once again...yes
I'm sure there are plenty more poll questions that can be asked, but to ask a question about something that is ongoing as if it's over doesn't seem reasonable to me. Just my thoughts.

17. It's been an Abject Failure
1) No WMDs

2) Iraq is not more peaceful and secure

3) Our reasons for going change by the week

4) The world hates us

It has been a failure.

Still 45% Yes. WHAT are these people smoking? Have they seen the shots of central Baghdad in flames? The soldiers' coffins and the Iraqi kids with missing limbs? How far deep in the sand can one's head go . . .

21. thinking "how quick can I vote in this poll & go brag about it @ FR.com?"
Not that us padding the poll is any better morally, but at least in an internet shoot-out like this, we're winning the whip count. Bring it on, Freeps!

it's good because we show the world who's boss. That should be some comfort to the families who have lost loved ones. Iraqi and Americans.
