siochain..."peace" in Gaelic..need some help here
someone know how to pronounce siochain....in Gaelic..Im going to be speaking to Ireland tomorrow as a mother of a kid in Iraq, and want to say peace to them. I believe siochain is "shee on" as it would be phrased...any help is appreciated.

scroll down to the Irish dictionary.
Select Irish>English

Copy and paste the word as it is here: síocháin

Be sure your sound is on. It's a computer generated voice so you might have to repeat it a number of times.

You can be quite sure that no one in the audience will be correcting you.
