CANADA: Conservative Party Leadership Vote
To all our Canadian DUers, what's the conesnsus on who's going to win tomorrow?

I think Harper is an unelectable rightwing idiot who can't cary the Conservatives any further than Alberta(therefore I'm rooting for him), Stronach is clueless, and Clement is the scariest of the bunch as he could give Martin a run for his money in Ontario & Quebec.

1. Harper.
Clement is the biggest threat, as he's smart, sharp and has some wit. Stronach? We should be so lucky that they'd pick her.
We're all rooting for Harper.

2. I think Harper
though they all suck. I am a liberal, so I just hope the least electable one gets the the leadership vote.

Clement even looks f-ing scary.

LOL - at least our elections don't drag out forever. We'll find out tomorrow who Martin is up against.

3. Clement
Becuase the fuckwits in that party are constantly trying to get a new face in the mix. Plus Clement is the one that can supposedly "win Ontario" and that is the biggest concern of those sad, lameass fuckers.

4. I thought Belinda Stronach was pouring a whole of money into this.
There was some thinking that that could make a difference.

despised people in the country.

5. I think Harper will take it....
and the membership will still be split. The "merger" was actually a takeover of the Progressive Conservative Party by the Alliance and when Harper wins the leadership it will only reinforce that. The Alliance (I will continue to call that party what it really is and that is NOT conservative)will remain a regional party, imo.

6. I heard that thousands of new members didn't get their ballots...
it will be interesting to see if those who didn't supported a specific candidate or if they are spread evenly amongst all the candidates.

7. Most probably Harper, but
with their really rather strange method of counting votes, who knows. I don't care as long as it is the one who will lead them to glorious defeat.

Am I the only one who thinks that Harper comes across as one heck of an arrogant SOB?

12. Cause doofus is Harper's hero
If that idiot Harper had been in charge of the country one year ago, Canada would be neck deep in the Iraqi morass today, as he would have loved nothing better than to show Dubya how eager he was to outdo Toady Blair across the pond.
