MSNBC-W's "grassroot" movement in Fla. begins today after rally
The reporter just mentioned it (saying "grassroots") at least three times citing the "grassroots" movement of 90,000 contirbutions on-line in just the last day or so. Just after this rally 90-100K (same "people"?)will branch out around the state to knock on doors. The reporter was sure to announce that this was a "massive grassroots" effort and the key to winning the state that gave W the win in 2000.

This appears to be W's first campaign event and the official opening on his campaign.....how many "beginnings" has he had now?

ABC reporter and NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann and the ever relevant Billy Ray Cyrus will also be there. Jeb will be in attendance and Laura will introduce her husband.

4. He needs each and every grassroot to support him
and if anyone can bring the grassroots together, it's Silly Ray.

Forgive me for having to guess what you're talking about - I've been buried in work all week. The world could have blown up for all I know, and I'm wondering why the shrubster suddenly needs the grassroots. What happened to his 500-gazillion-dollar campaign war chest?

Last night on C-span I caught a few minutes of some speech he gave yesterday, shamelessly capitalizing on the Spanish people's tragedy as well as our own - neither of which I'm convinced he didn't have some prior knowledge or a hand in - and spewing all the same bullshit about his bogus wars, and I sat there and wondered how anyone can believe anything he says. Everything about him just screams, "I'm a lying sack!"

He makes me so sick. I can't believe anyone thinks he has a sincere or well-intentioned bone in his body.

5. The "somber"speech in front of all the flags yesterday?
More like booooring. I thought he was teaching a geography class with the loooong list of country's names that I think we supposed to lead one to believe that the "Coalition of the Willing " (more like Wilting) was just huge.

It's easy to say almost anything if you are never questioned or critised on it. You probably missed his "If you are going to make accusations in a campaign you better be able to back it up/substiate it" quote about the foreign leaders who want Kerry to beat him. That's not an exact quote but he said basically that. Of course the Daily Show was the only media I saw offer guffaws and rolled eyes at the hypocrisy of that statement.

7. I can't stand to watch him long enough to be bored
I'm too busy being scared and disgusted and filled with contempt for people who put him in the position he's in and want to keep him there.

8. I can only hope
since we live in the only stronghold of Pugs in Washington state, that some hapless * doorbeller decides to stop by with some literature.

DH asked me what I'd say. I told him that I'm torn between maniacal laughter and letting them have it re: the economy, the war, the "jobless recovery," whatever I can cram into the 30-60 seconds till they go running off our property.

9. I think I'd say something like,
"Are you on drugs? I hope you're not gonna try and sell me any."
