Possible Bush campaign scandal?

Some say that Bush said that god told him not to let him down. I guess even some Freepers heard that. I honestly find it difficult to believe that he would say that. It is not on Bush's official transcript of that speech.

I know there are two threads already started about his speech, but I want to highlight a possible major Orwellian moment in this campaign.

Maybe someone should mirror the Bush website's version of it...I don't know how to do that.

Here's how his website has that portion of his speech:

"None of us will ever forget that week when one era ended and another began. On September the 14th, 2001, I stood in the ruins of the Twin Towers. I'll never forget that day. One guy pointed at me and said, "Don't let me down." Workers in hard hats were shouting, "Whatever it takes!" And as we all did that day, these men and women searching through the rubble took it personally. I took it personally. I have a responsibility that goes on. I will never relent in bringing justice to our enemies. I will defend the security of America, whatever it takes. (Applause.)"

Was his speech "cleaned up" by his campaign? I hope someone can clear this up...
