Freepers quoted in new book.

I just got home with Take Them at Their Words by Bruce Miller. Warning, buy another book with it, some of this stuff is so vile that you wouldn't want to spend more than an hour at a time reading it. It's basically nothing but quotes from the GOP and their sympathizers.

Leafing through it, I found this little nugget in the coup d'etat 2000 section on page 192...

The DC chapter of Free Republic invites all Freepers and lurkers in good standing to join us on Saturday, December 7th at 2pm until at least 4pm as we Freep former vice Perpetraitor Gore and his wife and co-author, Tipper, at a promotional appearence in ARLINGTON VA. for their new, not so best selling books.
We'll be there to remind the Gore's {sic} just who it was outside the Naval Observatory demanding that they "Get out of Cheney's House!" two years ago and why. Details at the Olsson's Books website: Saturday, dec. 7th at 3pm.

2. Sorry, the idea of reading it gives me the creeps.

Mostly because I used to own a similar book from the 30's about the Nazis. The title was pretty similar too, something like "In Their Own Words". The idea of the book was "Look at the completely crazy things these nitwits say!", but many of the most outrageous things actually came true in the 40's. It was chilling, really, to realize how so few people took them seriously at the time.

yes, millions of people now know that they're a bunch of sick puppies and degenerates. I wouldn't want that reputation of being psychotic, and there it is in black and white.
