1. They are so busy covering the *'
it has become very partisan, with the Dems asking questions with no punch. This women asking questions is totally ineffective.

4. Exactly my point. Not a single effective question yet.
Even Albright and the Dems seem to be giving generic answers.

They could so hit a home run against * on this. But it seems to me like they're taking the walk. Gods, I hope I'm wrong.

7. Unfortunately, this is exactly like Iran-Contra
How many "Luci the Bats" are hidden in the Dem committee staffs, I wonder, whispering poison in their ears.

"Sleep. Don't ask aquestion that will backfire and get YOU in trouble."

Etc. Etc.

It is also possible that they are just weak, and doing the same thing that the German Social Democrats of 1933 are doing.

2. wish they'd let
the families do the questioning. in fact, leave * alone in a room with the families, doors and windows locked, for 12 hours. then the same with neo-condie. and on down the line with wolfie, rumsfeld, powell, etc. we'd have hidden cameras set up for our entertainment and gratification.

3. Why doesn't she ask why the * administration
allowed the "Visa Express" for the Saudi's to be set up.

5. Looks to me like they are trying to hang a lot on Clinton in typical
Repug fashion. Bob Kerrey was particularly rude to Albright. and he is a Dem. Looks to me like it is a whitewash so far--this is nothing and no information will be forthcoming--all is spin with Powell and probably all lies.

This is what we all knew it would be when we heard of the commission--a partisan committee that will attempt to hide the real facts of Bush's incompetence and they are also making it into a political forum.

6. I am about to VOMIT ..
.. all this sugar and love is making me sick (watching 911 commission).

I used to respect Powell. Belafonte was right.

8. Powell's monotone delivery style
seems to have hypnotized them.

"I will serve the emperor"..."I will serve the emperor"...

9. I'm pleased, actually
I was impressed by how soft the repub panelists were on Albright so it doesn't bother me if the dems are soft on Powell. It seems designed to be a very polite show.

That's good. The views of independents are always decisive in elections and they are turned off by any hint of partisanship. I'd enjoy some fireworks personally, but anyone in the middle who sees this hug-fest and then hears Hannity claiming it's like a Stalin show-trial will realize Hannity is crazy.

10. I've been sick all morning....one question that just about sent me thru
the roof was the one to Albright 'isn't it reasonable to believe that the Bush* administration also didn't think this threat was this serious'. That is paraphrased of course.

Forget the fact that he'd been given info. during the transition, been given the Hart-Rudman report, been given warnings April thru Aug. '01 that were increasing in their concern about a strike within the US. None of that matters 'cause he took a freakin' month to go play home, home on the ranch and promote tax cuts. Those damned tax cuts were WAAAYYY more important.
