ALL the talking heads are making it seem that there is a "fringe" to the Dem party and THEY say it is US.

Those 'focus groups' that went out to protest against Bush* and his war were made up of everyday citizens. Hardly the fringe. I don't know what the ratio is between those who went out to protest and those who supported but did not or could not protest is - but I'm betting that ratio is pretty damn high.

When all the the "ace media" people began to do their stories on WMD lies, Nuke lies, the bog down in Iraq, etc., I wanted to scream: HEY FUCK HEADS, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS SAID IN PLACES LIKE THE DU SINCE LAST SUMMER AS THE BASTARD STARTED ALL THIS WAR TALK AND YOU FUCK HEADS SAID WE WERE THE LUNATIC FRINGE. Well there was nothing lunatic about it since it was not based on "tinfoil" hat thinking. It was based on logic that a goddamn third grader could figure out. Are those pathetic bastards so bad off that they believed that a nice, contrived, "for the fall" presentation about nukes about to blow all our butts off, etc. was REAL??----for Christ's sake. my 60 year old mother, who wouldn't be caught dead at a protest, and goes to classical music concerts...ect... you get the picture... totally agrees with Starpass, (she'd skip the profanity, though she's quite mature enough to handle it).

Margaret Carlson excused the press not asking questions *before* the war by claiming that as reporters they had to report what other people were saying, and that the Dems weren't asking the quesions. It was pathetic and sickening. (Not that anyone expects much from MC.)Sure there were divisions among the Dems, but plenty of voices got ignored--and not only ours.

(The panel is worth watching though--the audience was terrific, and Joe Wilson and a guy from Carnegie were excellent--it'll be repeated a few times tonight on c-span)

the questions and gave wonderful speeches for hours and days on end on the floor of the Senate about why we should not invade Iraq. Where were the whore press.

I sit here in the belly of the automotive industry with a lot of pissed off auto workers, blue and white collar, who will vote strictly for an anti war candidate. One who is not afraid to stand against the waves. And yet our local Fox channel tells me how pro Bush my town is. BSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBSBS!!!! Think of all of those MILLIONS of protesters and then throw in the anti-war people who DIDN"T go to the streets, like me, my parents, my sister, my brother, my niece, and some of my friends! THAT is a lot of people! I'm sure a lot of DUers know people who were anti-war and didn't protest. In fact, just this morning I saw a report about Hillary running in 2008. The F******* repukes want to change the fundraising rules AFTER the 2004 election, of course, because they fear Hillary raising more money than the shrub will raise for this next election, which is projected to be over $200,000,000.00!
